A touring series is a racing series that travels track to track on its own schedule and rulebook, bringing its cars, purse and points standings to each host speedway instead of running weekly at one place.
Tours come in sizes. National: the All Star Circuit of Champions ran a 32-race 2026 schedule across five states with more than $1,000,000 in a-main money, listed to-win purses from $5,000 to $15,000. Bigger still, in early August 2026 the World of Outlaws sprint car schedule listed 34 remaining races in 13 states, from I-55 Raceway on August 7 to the Charlotte World Finals on November 7. Regional: the Short Track Super Series runs numbered rounds at host tracks; its Bridgeport stop was Round No. 4 for Modifieds, 50 laps for $5,000 on a $45 pit pass. A tour brings its own rulebook, tech line and points, so a car legal on Saturday night may not be legal when it rolls in.
A touring date at your home track is the same short drive for a much bigger purse, but it is run under a rulebook you do not race under weekly, and getting turned away at tech costs you the entire night.
