Gears, chassis and calculators
Log gears, rollout and per-corner chassis settings, and let the sheet do the math.
Gears and chassis
Gears, ride heights, shocks, and toe are logged the way RC cars actually tune, in structured fields, with the ratio math done for you.
Log gears and roll-out
Enter the pinion and spur and RacerRX works out the ratio and rollout for you. No calculator app, no napkin.
Per-corner chassis
Ride heights, shock oils, springs, camber, and toe each have their own field, per corner. Because the fields are structured, the AI can read them and search can find them. A notes app has no idea what a diff or a droop screw is; RacerRX does.
Star-rate every change so the combinations that work rise to the top of the list.
Model and Version
Added in v1.12.21, Model and Version sits under Chassis manufacturer when you add a car. It matters most when you share: shared setups include your car's make, model, and version, so anyone downloading your baseline knows what it was built for.
Gear labels for chain-driven classes
If your class runs a chain instead of a spur and pinion, switch the gear labels. RacerRX lets you flip between Pinion/Spur and Front/Rear Sprocket so the sheet reads the way your car is built.
Calculators
The math is built into the sheet, not a separate screen. Fill in the inputs and the answer shows up next to them.
Gear ratio, FDR and rollout
Enter pinion and spur and the Gears tab works out Gear Ratio. Templates with a transmission ratio add FDR, and Rollout follows once a rear tire diameter is in.
Spur and pinion table
The spur and pinion table arrived in v1.12.21. On the Gears tab, tap Select next to Pinion and Spur Table, tap the combo you want, and tap OK; pinion and spur save straight to the setup. More in Setups and rounds.
Weight distribution
Enter the four corner weights on the Scale tab and RacerRX works out Total Weight, Cross RF/LR, Left Side, Rear and Wedge (Bite). Use Import Scale Weights with AI and the corners fill from a photo of the scale.
